A well-established investment firm is seeking a Long/Short Equity Analyst to join its investment team, with a focus on the Business Services sector .
The firm operates a market-neutral equity strategy and is looking for an investor who can contribute directly to the research and investment process. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys fundamental, bottoms-up investing and wants to work in a rigorous, research-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct fundamental research on companies across the Business Services landscape
Develop differentiated investment theses and identify attractive long and short opportunities
Build and maintain detailed financial models and valuation frameworks
Perform industry, company, competitive, and management analysis
Monitor existing positions and continuously evaluate catalysts, risks, and changing fundamentals
Generate actionable investment ideas and present recommendations to the broader investment team
Work closely with senior investors throughout the research and portfolio-construction process
Ideal Background:
Buyside investment experience is required , ideally within a fundamental L/S, market-neutral, or similarly research-intensive strategy
Strong experience analyzing Business Services companies and related subsectors
Demonstrated ability to independently develop investment theses
Strong financial modeling, valuation, and fundamental research skills
Comfortable evaluating both long and short opportunities
Highly analytical, intellectually curious, and detail-oriented
Strong written and verbal communication skills
