Lab AssistantOnslow Memorial Hospital - Jacksonville, NC 28546Position Type Full Time 1.0 Job Shift NightDescriptionResponsible for phlebotomy procedures to include bleeding time test, blood cultures, obtaining blood samples from neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients; performing glucose testing at the bedside; and performing waived or moderate complexity Point of Care testing at the bedside for patients in the Emergency Department. Also assists in clerical duties of the department; including patient registration, specimen processing, and quality assurance documentation as needed.QualificationsEducation/Certification:High school diploma or equivalent.Completion of an approved phlebotomy course.Current BLS certification.Experience:Previous laboratory experience (in a hospital setting preferred).
