Job description
Phlebotomy TechnicianBecome part of an inclusive organization with over 40,000 teammates, whose mission is to improve the health and well-being of the unique communities we serve.Provides customer services and schedule services and performs phlebotomy within the UNC Rex Laboratory departments.Responsibilities include wearing appropriate PPE at all times, demonstrating appropriate customer service skills, maintaining proficiency in computer systems, obtaining demographic information from patients, performing specimen collection, registering outreach specimens, maintaining departmental supplies and inventory, and responsible for training, education and required reading.Education Requirements: High school or GED. Phlebotomy certificate strongly preferred. Professional Experience Requirements: If high school diploma, one year of phlebotomy experience required. If graduation from a phlebotomy program, no previous experience is required. Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:Legal Employer: NCHEALTH. Entity: UNC REX Healthcare. Organization Unit: Rex Outreach Client Services. Work Type: Part Time. Standard Hours Per Week: 20.00. Salary Range: $18.66 - $26.51 per hour (Hiring Range).
