Location: Sparks, MD
Pay Rate: $22.60/hour
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7:00 PM-5:00 AM
Work Arrangement: On-Site
Overtime: Must be available to work overtime as required
Safety Shoes: Required
Training Schedule
Orientation and training will be held Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM for one week, regardless of the regular overnight work schedule.
Candidates must be able to accommodate the daytime training schedule.
Position Overview
The Technologist - Scientific Ops is responsible for manufacturing and assembling clinical and commercial products while operating production equipment and following established manufacturing procedures. This position performs material preparation, batch processing, in-process testing, and equipment/process validation in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacture and assemble clinical and commercial products according to established procedures and specifications.
Operate production equipment safely and effectively.
Weigh, measure, and verify raw materials to ensure batches contain the correct ingredients and quantities.
Assist with in-process testing to ensure batches meet established specifications.
Support validation of processes and equipment related to filtration, cleaning, and sterilization.
Create and prepare solutions, powders, and liquids used in batch manufacturing.
Safely remove and dispose of waste chemicals, solvents, acids, and other regulated materials.
Provide training support for new employees, onboarding activities, and newly implemented procedures.
Support the lead or supervisor with operational activities as needed.
Identify and recommend continuous improvement opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
Follow established procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Follow all safety policies and procedures.
Work overtime as required to meet business and production needs.
Qualifications
High School diploma required with at least 2 years of relevant experience in a regulated environment.
Associate's degree in a scientific discipline may be considered in place of experience.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and follow established procedures.
Ability to work safely with chemicals, solvents, and acids.
Ability to work in a regulated manufacturing environment and consistently follow GMP requirements.
