You will assist medical technologists with various tasks, maintaining a clean and organized laboratory environment.Every day you will perform clerical duties such as data entry, answering phones, and managing incoming and outgoing lab reports. You will also be responsible for maintaining supply inventory, ordering new materials, and ensuring equipment is functioning correctly.To be successful in this role, you will possess strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a solid understanding of specimen handling and laboratory safety protocols. You will demonstrate excellent communication skills, collaborating effectively with all lab personnel to support accurate and timely test results.Required:High school diploma or GEDWA State Department of Health Medical Assistant - Phlebotomy certificationExcellent customer service and patient relations skillsKnowledge of anatomy, venous systems, proper specimen collection techniques and use of blood tubesKnowledge of safety guidelines and basic medical and laboratory terminologyGeneral computer knowledge is neededVirginia Mason Franciscan Health brings together two award winning health systems in Washington state - CHI Franciscan and Virginia Mason.
