Lab AssociateWe are searching for motivated, enthusiastic, and hands-on individuals interested in advancing science through the manufacturing of our CRISPR products. As a Lab Associate at Synthego, you will join our growing operations team and have direct responsibility for the synthesis and purification of our gRNA products in the Research Use Only factory and GMP factory. This role requires a strong attention to detail, a desire to learn and adapt to new processes, and familiarity with safe laboratory practices. This role will combine hands-on laboratory protocols with advanced automation to ensure the timely delivery of high quality products to our customers.Available Shift and Training ScheduleShift: Day ShiftHours: 6:30am to 3:00pmDays: Monday - FridayTraining: Training will take up to 3 months. During the training period you may be asked to temporarily move to a different shift time due to staffing and training needs. After training is complete, you will work the hours/days of the week you were hired for.What You'll Do:Supports daily laboratory operations by following standard operating procedures and departmental protocols to set up, operate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipmentMonitors lab work to ensure compliance with set laboratory and organization standardsResponsible for maintaining inventory of laboratory products and suppliesCoordinate, perform, troubleshoot, and document laboratory instrumentation events, communicating updates to the broader team.Synthesize oligonucleotides by following established SOPsOperate complex automated robotic systems to manage liquid products through a highly automated workflowPurification of OligonucleotidesTubing and plating of guide work ordersAbout You:AA in Chemistry, Biotech Certification, or relevant work experience0-1 year of industry experience within the manufacturing/production environmentSelf-motivated individual with attention to detailExcited to work in a dynamic start-up environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent problem-solving skillsAble to multitask and prioritize work effectivelyNice to Haves:Strong knowledge of Oligonucleotide productionExperience with LIMS, lab managementExperience with Google Suite$27 - $28 an hourOur MissionSynthego® is a pioneering force in the biotechnology industry, dedicated to advancing the frontiers of CRISPR cell and gene therapies through cutting-edge CRISPR technology and expertise.
