Job description
Assigns, oversees, and reviews the work of employees.
Directs all phases of work, quality, service, and costs; and performs tests or assays as required.
Responsible for reviewing/approval of specialized and problem reports for accuracy.
Manages laboratory QC including equipment calibration.
Monitors quality of work for compliance to laboratory standards.
Provides technologist coverage as necessary during peak workloads and staff absences.
Performs personnel related functions (hiring, firing, discipline, training, etc..)

supervisory skills.
Qualifications
License/Certification/Education:
B.S Degree in Medical Technology
1-3 years of experience.
Must meet all State & Local licensing requirements where the laboratory is located and must meet CLIA requirements.
Hematology experience required.
Must be qualified as a Hematology Technical Supervisor as defined by CLIA regulations.
Medical Technologist ASCP certified.
