Summary

This position is located at JBLM MWR Outdoor Recreation - Storage. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. This announcement is in conjunction with the JBLM NAF HR Office Job Fair at the Eagles Pride Golf Course in Dupont, WA on Tuesday, 06 October 2026 from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. IMPORTANT: Only eligible applicants attending the job fair will be referred for consideration.

Responsibilities

Performs heavy physical labor requiring the frequent lifting and carrying of items and furniture weighing 80 pounds to 100 pounds or more.

Operates heavy powered equipment performing tasks such as ground maintenance on grades and slopes, digging ditches and trenches, washing buildings using high pressure sprayers, operating tillers to prepare lawns for sod and bedding plants, etc.

Performs general maintenance of NAF facilities requiring use of heavy powered equipment and heavy tools. Advises facility director of potential safety hazards and identifies repairs required.

Breaks up concrete, mixes and pours concrete and asphalt. Resets nails, replaces hardware, relocate playgrounds, flowerbeds and portable structures.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: 1. Six (6) month of laboring experience required. 2. Must be able to work under general supervision, responding to initial oral or written instructions and completing assigned tasks. This announcement is in conjunction with the JBLM NAF HR Office Job Fair at the Eagle Pride Golf Course Dupont, WA on Tuesday, 06 October 2026 from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Applicants participating in the event will receive first consideration. To receive this consideration, applicants must be in attendance, at the Job Fair between the times of 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. If you are not able to attend the job fair, online application will be reviewed after the event if vacancies remain. Management will be conducting on-the-spot interviews during the event. Selections made during the event will begin the pre-employment process on site, to include fingerprinting, following the interview. IMPORTANT: Only eligible applicants attending the job fair will be referred for consideration.
