Lactation Consultant RN - L&D at Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital in Santa Rosa, CA. This position is Per Diem and will work 8-hour Day shifts.

Provide perinatal education to prenatal and postpartum patients. Provide education about infant nutrition support and education to staff and all families regardless of the feeding method chosen. Provide Lactation Consultation and education for breastfeeding mother in the inpatient and outpatient settings at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. Provides assessment, care planning, implementation support and follow up evaluation to all clients. Manage the outpatient education program to ensure we are meeting our community's needs.

Required Qualifications:
Associate's Degree or
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
Coursework/Training: Breastfeeding educator, counselor, or support course completed as well as other requirements for eligibility to sit for the IBCLC exam.
Upon hire: California Registered Nurse License.
Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
Upon hire: IBCLC certified, or ability to sit for exam within 1 year or employment within this position.
2 years' experience in perinatal nursing, perinatal education, or counseling postpartum breastfeeding women in a hospital setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting breastfeeding and infant nutrition in NICU and outpatient setting.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
