Land Records Document ExaminerCustomer Operation is seeking a detailed-orientated, self-motivated individual, to serve as a Land Records Document Examiner at the Manhattan Land Records Office. Reporting to the Assistant Deputy City Register, the selected candidate's duties will include, but are not limited to:Examine scanned images of Real Estate and Personal Property documents, to determine if they are incompliance with all applicable statutory authority, City and Agency policies, and recording requirements.Examine scanned image of Notices of Federal Liens for conformity with the lien law.Conduct research to determine property ownership.Review documentation to identify potential fraudulent filings and coordinate referrals to the Sheriff's Office for further investigation, as appropriate.Perform other duties, as assigned.Additional Information: In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire. This position may be eligible for remote work up to 2 days per week, pursuant to the Remote Work Pilot Program agreed between the City and the Collective Bargaining Unit representing employees serving in the civil service title.
