Job description
Landscape Construction Team MemberThe Landscape Construction Team Member supports the installation of commercial and residential landscape construction projects by performing a variety of hands-on tasks under the direction of the Foreman. This role is field-based and requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and productively as part of a team.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with landscape construction activities including:Grading, trenching, and site preparationHardscape installation (pavers, retaining walls, concrete prep)Irrigation system installation and repairsPlanting, sod installation, mulch, and landscape finishesFollow plans, instructions, and direction from the Foreman and crew leadersSafety & Jobsite ConductFollow all safety policies, procedures, and jobsite rulesProperly use personal protective equipment (PPE) and toolsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsiteTools, Equipment & MaterialsSafely operate hand tools and basic construction equipmentLoad, unload, and care for tools, materials, and equipmentReport damaged tools, equipment issues, or material shortagesProductivity & TeamworkWork efficiently to meet daily production goalsCommunicate clearly with crew members and supervisorsMaintain a positive attitude and strong attendanceQualificationsRequired:Ability to perform physical labor in outdoor environmentsWillingness to learn landscape construction skills and techniquesAbility to follow instructions and work as part of a teamReliable transportation to and from workPreferred:Previous experience in landscape or construction workBilingual (English/Spanish) communication skillsExperience using hand tools or basic construction equipmentValid driver's licensePhysical RequirementsAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs routinelyAbility to stand, bend, kneel, dig, and walk for extended periodsCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive hourly pay based on experienceOvertime eligibilityHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and holidaysOpportunities for advancement and skill developmentEqual Opportunity EmployerWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer and are committed to providing a workplace free from discrimination.
