As a Landscape Construction - Hardscape Team Leader at JR's Landscape Services, you'll guide a crew to bring landscape designs to life through hardscape installations, plantings, pruning, and seasonal enhancements:JR's Landscape Services is expanding, and we are looking to fill the following full-time position:Position Summary:As the Landscape/Hardscape Installation Team Leader, your team is responsible for delivering high-quality landscape enhancement services for both commercial and residential properties. This role includes overseeing site clean-ups, mulch installation, flower bed planting based on landscape designs, and executing hardscape projects such as patios, sidewalks, and other structural landscape features. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of managing crews efficiently to ensure projects are completed on time, within specifications, and budget.Key Responsibilities:Lead, supervise, and motivate a landscaping crew on daily assignmentsTeach new skills to other team membersPerform and oversee seasonal clean-ups for commercial and residential propertiesInstall mulch, soil, and plant materials according to landscape design plansImplement and maintain flower beds, ensuring proper plant placement and healthExecute hardscape installations including patios, walkways, sidewalks, retaining walls, landscape lighting and related featuresInterpret landscape designs, blueprints, and project specifications accuratelyEnsure all work meets company quality standards and client expectationsOperate landscaping tools and equipment safely and efficientlyMaintain a safe work environment and enforce safety proceduresCommunicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and team membersManage job site organization, materials, and time to maximize productivityQualifications:Prior experience in landscaping, including enhancement and hardscape workExperience leading or supervising a teamKnowledge of proper planting techniques, landscape materials, and installation methods according to landscape industry standards preferredDemonstrated knowledge and experience with hardscape construction (pavers, stonework, concrete, etc.)Strong work ethic and attention to detailAbility to lift heavy materials and perform physical outdoor work in various conditionsValid driver's license required (Class A CDL preferred)Illinois Pesticide License or willing to obtainMust pass IL DOT Physical and Pre-Employment Drug Screen.
