Landscape Crew LeaderManagement Services Corporation (MSC), one of The Caton Companies, is central Virginia's leading property management company. We are looking for energetic and motivated individuals who want a great career at a growing company.We are seeking full-time, experienced Landscape Crew Leader. Responsible for managing and overseeing all landscaping work on properties, including lawn & garden care and landscaping maintenance. Must be available to work Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and overtime/weekends as needed.$20.00 - $25.00 per hour, based on skills/experience.Main DutiesSupervise all lawn management service activities of crewEnsure all crew members know the property, including scope of work and overall plan for propertyTrain crew members and ensure they have tools needed to complete jobs efficientlyEnsure projects are completed on time and within budgetPerform all timekeeping activities for crewEnsure crew is performing all tasks safely, following strict Company and industry safety guidelines, including 100% PPE during work activitiesEnsure completion of daily activities, including gathering of supplies, cleaning of trucks, organization of trailersUse landscaping tools and operate heavy equipment as neededKeep all equipment in good condition: includes cleaning equipment, tagging equipment with issues, changing oil, blades, air filters as per maintenance scheduleCoordinate with management, customers, and other employees as neededPosition Type and Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position; typical work hours and days are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Overtime and weekend work as required, including on-call snow removal during and after snow events. Work is in Charlottesville, Virginia. Reliable commute or relocation to this area is required before starting work.Required Education, Skills, and ExperienceHigh School Diploma/GEDValid Virginia driver license with acceptable DMV record in order to drive Company-owned vehiclesMinimum 2 years experience in a landscaping or groundskeeping roleMust be able to safely operate maintenance equipment, including tractors, mowers, leaf blowers, and aerators (or be willing to learn)Lift 50 pounds and handle the physical demands of an outdoors job, including standing, bending, pulling, and climbingAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlinesWork well with a team or independently when necessaryAbility to work in a variety of outside conditions for long periods of timeAdhere to strict safety precautionsKnowledge of OSHA safety regulations preferredThe BenefitsCompetitive compensationComprehensive Health, Dental, and Vision insuranceFlexible Spending Program (FSA) available401K Program with 4% company match8 paid holidays plus 1 personal floating holiday120 hours of accrued Paid Time Off (PTO) accrued the first yearMSC is an Equal Opportunity Employer
