Landscape Crew MemberHollywood Park is a premier, nearly 300-acre global sports and entertainment destination in Inglewood, California. Owned, operated, and being developed by Los Angeles Rams Owner/Chairman E. Stanley Kroenke, it stands as the largest urban mixed-use development currently under construction in the Western United States. Anchored by the world-class SoFi Stadium and YouTube Theater, with Hollywood Park Studios and a luxury boutique hotel forthcoming, the district creates the ultimate Live, Work, Play environment.As a Landscape Crew Member, you will be responsible for creating beautiful environments by providing landscape maintenance support to a variety of industrial, commercial, and/or public properties. Requirements include safely operating commercial grade landscaping equipment and ensuring the upkeep of plant material and other landscaping elements.More specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to…Cutting turf, trimming and edging along borders, and blowing using power equipmentPruning shrubs and low trees to improve the growth habit or remove damaged branchesPlanting and maintaining flower beds, and applying mulchPicking up trash and debrisPerforming weeding by hand or using a garden hoe or hula hoeMaintaining a polite, friendly, responsive demeanor with guests and customersProactively assist in identifying and resolving issuesPrioritize maintaining the landscape design and aesthetic, ensuring healthy, flourishing biomesMaintain strong cross-functional relationships throughout the organizationAssist with installation, maintenance, cleaning and removal of Matrax turf protection when neededAssist Turf & Grounds staff with any/all event prep when neededOperate and knowledgeable in light heavy equipment including a tractor, utility vehicles, boom lift and/or forkliftAssist with spraying common landscape pests and diseasesAbility to lift 50 lbs unassistedMust be able to work nights and weekendsWillingness to learn landscape equipment & conceptsBe open to communicate with coworkers and leadsAdditional duties as assignedWe'd love to hear from people with…High school diploma or equivalencyValid drivers license2-4 years of experience in landscape maintenance.Preferred – 2 or 4 year degree preferred or equivalent experience in a landscape-related field.Strong work ethic with an emphasis in working in a team environment.Good verbal communication skills; ability to convey communications in a clear and precise manner.Valid driver's license and driving record in good standing.Flexible schedule; able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously.Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs., walk, stand, bend, stoop for prolonged periods of time.Physical requirements:The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.
