Landscape Install ForemanRiver City Lawnscape Inc., established in 1983, is an award winning landscape design/build and full service landscape management company in La Crosse, WI and Rochester, MN. The range of services we offer includes landscaping, irrigation, mowing, lawn fertilization, landscape maintenance, outdoor and holiday lighting and snow removal. Our passion is to provide opportunities while leading the way.The Landscape Install Foreman is an integral part of our Install team. The Foreman oversees and coordinates a crew of two to four employees to process work orders. The quality and customer satisfaction for each job will be the responsibility of the Landscape Install Foreman. Daily equipment maintenance must be completed. This position will support other seasonal services as necessary. This is a full-time, seasonal position.Primary Responsibilities & SkillsLeadership capability and demeanor to effectively manage and train a crew of two to four peopleThoroughly understands all aspects of landscape installation as outlined in company standard operating proceduresFamiliar with all aspects of landscape construction to include patios, walls, water features, low voltage lighting, operating equipment, demolition, site and soil prep, grading, plantingAble to operate equipment: skid loader, saws, edging machines, compactors, and other pertinent machineryAbility to keep jobs on schedule and on budget while meeting production rates and maintaining quality standardsEnsures safety procedures are followed, accidents and First Report of Injury forms are properly documented and reportedFollow all instructions given by the SupervisorPrepare vehicles and equipment for the day's workDemonstrate customer service and professionalism, communicating effectively with customers and co-workersPerform all daily preventative maintenance on company equipmentPossess a basic understanding of math and elevationsBe self sufficient and work effectively with little supervisionDependabilityBe punctual, committed, and motivated to succeedResponsible for snow removal routesDuties, responsibilities and activities subject to change at any time with or without notice to accommodate seasonal and peak business demandsEducation & RequirementsDegree in horticulture, landscaping, or other applicable is preferred, but not requiredMinimum of 1 year of landscape construction experienceMinimum of 1 year of supervisory experiencePossess valid driver's license and must be insurable on company's insurance policyWorking Conditions & Physical DemandsMust maintain regular and reliable attendance at a level acceptable to the company, including the ability to work overtime, holidays, evenings or weekends as necessary.Able to lift/carry 50 lbs. on a regular and consistent basis, move about the work siteExposed to exterior elements (i.e. pollen, chemicals, cold and heat, etc.)Extended periods of activity; walking, standing, kneeling, bending and liftingTypical work week requires 40-55 hours, some Saturdays as neededCompensation & BenefitsWages start at $22.73/hour; actual wage based on experienceOvertime pay at time and a halfRecognition programsOpportunities for advancementVacation payBenefits including health, dental, vision, life and accident insurance available after 60 days, Simple IRA after 1 yearCompany issued uniformsExpectations (Our Core Values)Be passionateExceed expectationsFind a wayBe unselfishRiver City Lawnscape, Inc. provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment.
