Job DescriptionPerforms activities related to improving and maintaining University grounds, including installation, maintenance, and care of landscape plants and turfs.ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesCleans, maintains and repairs lawn care tools and equipment. Operates equipment such as weed eaters, edgers, blowers, etc.Maintains grounds; waters, rakes, mows, prunes, trims, and edges lawns and shrubbery.Maintains work area in a clean, neat, and orderly manner.Picks up and bags litter, broken glass, and tree limbs.Plants shrubs, trees, flowers, and other plants.Re-sods or reseeds barren areas.Answers questions and provides information to staff, faculty, students and visitors.Other related duties as assigned.QualificationsHigh School diploma or GED and 6 months of appropriate experience required. Must be able to read and follow written instructions in the proper execution of assigned tasks.
