Job description
Landscaping Crew DriverThe DTK Landscaping Crew Driver is responsible for performing any and all commercial landscaping duties. Consistent, quality landscaping service and efficiency are performed on a daily basis. Landscaping crew will work together as a team to complete all tasks to the account manager's expectations. Driver will transport crews safely to job sites while driving a truck and trailer. DTK values our drivers and will compensate them appropriately.Essential DutiesSafely drives a truck and trailer on a daily basisAdheres to company safety regulationsHas a clear understanding of landscaping equipment and their usesSafely operates a zero-turn mower and essential landscaping equipmentMonitors and maintains equipment in working orderPerforms hand weeding and clean-up of bedsPerforms regular mowing, blowing, line trimming, edging and debris removalInspects equipment to ensure it is in working orderLeaves property clean and tidy when maintenance/installations are completeInstalls landscaping materials including plants, flowers, mulch, hardscaping, etc.Follows instructions from foreman and landscaping account manager to ensure quality landscaping services are provided for customersAttends mandatory meetings to review safety and learn best horticultural practicesReports any malfunctions of equipment to foreman or landscaping account manager immediatelyPicks up and delivers landscaping materials in a timely mannerClocks in at arrival of job site and clocks out at each job site immediately after completing tasksCommunicates landscaping issues clearly with foreman immediatelyRequirementsLicense or CertificationDriver's license requiredPreferred ExperienceAt least one year of commercial or residential landscaping experienceSpecialized SkillsSense of urgency to complete a job in a timely mannerMulti-task and manage more than one job at a timeAbility to work alone and manage time efficientlyOpen to learning new landscaping skills and best horticultural practicesGood communications skillsBi-lingual English/Spanish a plusAbility to follow written and oral instructionsDependable and reliable attendance for daily assignmentsWorks together with landscaping crew and jumps in to help where neededWork Conditions & Physical RequirementsMost work will be done in an outside setting in all seasons of the yearRegularly work with mechanical objectsFrequent 8 –10-hour work daysMust be able to safely operate landscaping equipment and hand toolsMust be able to safely observe surroundings, equipment and work hazards, with or without reasonable accommodationMust be able to stand or sit for long periods of timeMust be able to bend, reach, climb and balanceMust be able to lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodationBenefitsCompetitive hourly rate based on experienceHealth, dental, and vision insuranceRetirement savings planSupportive and inclusive work environment rooted in Christian valuesJoin us in creating beautiful landscapes.About DTK Landscaping:DTK Facility Services is a Texas-based commercial facility services company.
