Job description
Landscape Working ForemanThe Landscape Working Foreman is responsible for leading and executing landscape construction projects while actively working alongside the crew. This role oversees daily operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and within established timelines while maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.RequirementsPlan, coordinate, and manage landscape construction projects, including labor, equipment, materials, and scheduling to meet project deadlinesSupervise, schedule, and direct the daily activities of a landscape construction crew (typically 2–4 employees)Delegate tasks effectively to crew members to ensure efficient workflow and project completionMaintain high standards of safety, quality, and productivity at job sites and shop/yard locationsConduct on-site safety orientations for new employees and employees transitioning into new rolesEnsure compliance with all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirementsAssist in job site preparation prior to the start of construction projectsRead and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to guide work activitiesOperate and oversee the use of tools and equipment, including heavy machinery, chainsaws, jackhammers, laser levels, and hand toolsCoordinate and oversee subcontractors to ensure quality work and adherence to deadlinesMaintain clear and professional communication with clients and stakeholdersComplete and submit required documentation, including daily reports, equipment inspections, time tracking, and billing summariesMaintain cleanliness, organization, and proper care of trucks, trailers, equipment, job sites, and yard areasWork Environment & Physical RequirementsWork outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, humidity, rain, dust, noise, and coldRegularly work around heavy equipment and moving vehiclesAbility to lift, carry, and operate heavy tools and materialsFlexible schedule, including occasional weekendsQualificationsMust be able to pass a drug testMust be able to pass pre-screening site-specific exams and training materialWill need to pass a background checkValid ID/DL licenseEqual Opportunity EmployerWe are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
