Job description
Laser Machine OperatorThe laser machine operator position safely performs laser cutting for a variety of manufacturing products.Precision Metal Products LLC manufactures quality, precision-fabricated metal assemblies and components for various industries, including military and defense, medical, automotive, off-road, industrial, commercial, and many others. PMP is seeking individuals to join our fabrication team. We are currently seeking candidates for the Laser Operator position as described below.ResponsibilitiesPerform typical laser cutting operations.Select proper cutting programs and proper fixtures.Establish proper stop location, adjust laser beam focal point.Make proper set-ups for cutting operations.Perform prescribed maintenance as required.Perform all dimensional inspections.Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the supervisor.Stage raw materials for the day's productionInventory management for raw materialsMonitor machine operationsEnsure production schedule follows through as directed by the supervisorMay perform a variety of other tasks as production needs require.RequirementsLaser Trumpf operations is a PlusCNC operation experience, or related technical trainingAbility to read and interpret drawingsWorking knowledge of metal materialsMechanically inclinedAbility to work independently or as part of a teamAbility to read gauges and other measurement tools to ensure tolerancesAbility to drive and operate a ForkliftVersatility - help in other fabrication processes as needed. Press Brake, Punch, Laser, and other fabrication tools are a plus.Communication - Active Listening, giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. Speaking – communicate with others to convey the information effectively.Basic Computer skillsBasic Math skillsJob Type: Full TimePay: $20+ per hour, depending on experienceBenefitsPaid Time OffMedicalDentalVision401K retirement plan
