In this role, you will assist Laser operator & perform entry level or repetitive machine operation duties. Employee will work in extreme Heat & Cold, Noise, Vibration, Oils and Atmospheric Conditions such as Dust, Fumes and Metallic Particles. Employee will be exposed to the hazards of working with heavy machinery. Employee is required to wear a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, steel toed boots with metatarsal and hearing protection. When using grinders a full-face shield is required in addition to safety glasses. A great opportunity to build your career with a leading company while enjoying steady hours and overtime potential.Responsibilities:Understands and follows all company safety policies and procedures.Positions work pieces to be processed securely on machine, manually or using hoist or craneRecords information of work pieces processedMarks/tags identification on material/work piecesMarks material after processing; stores material for additional processing and/or shippingIdentifies equipment and material problems and advises machine operatorCleans work area and lubricates equipmentMay assist in performing quality control inspections on finished productOccasionally tends machine for proper functioning and counts finished work pieces to determine if product order is completePerforms other related duties as assigned or requestedIn a typical workday, employee is standing, walking, seeing, hearing, grasping, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking, lifting work pieces weighing up to forty (40) lbs. manually or by crane to work area and properly positioning it for processing the orders.Requirements:Basic reading and writing comprehension in English (to read instructions on picking tickets and cross-reference drawings, safety and policies manuals)Basic measuring skills to read and convert English and Metric systemsBasic arithmetic skills to calculate and convert decimals and fractionsExperience on overhead crane operation desiredPrevious experience in related field such as construction, or fabrication helpfulDemonstrated manual dexterity, finger dexterity, arm-hand steadiness, and multi-limb coordinationMust have Forklift experience (side loader)Must have HS DiplomaMust pass a Background & Drug ScreenSteeled-Toed BootsSchedule & PayShift: 2nd Shift – Monday–Friday 4:00PM–12:00AMPay: $18/hr plus overtime (if you work 160 regular hours in a month)Benefits (through CloudRay)Weekly pay Health insurance Incentives and performance-based bonuses Referral bonuses Temp-to-hire career growth potentialLocation AdvantageJob is commutable from Decatur (35810, 35811, 35816) Madison, AL 35758 and Athens (35611) .
