Signal Off-Duty Law Enforcement OfficerAs a Signal Off-Duty Law Enforcement Officer, you are operating as a law enforcement officer representing your agency or department. This position requires a high degree of attention to detail and awareness, as you will conduct foot and vehicle-based patrols in and outside of facilities to protect the physical well-being of suspects, customers, associates. This position also requires the protection of facility property, access points are properly secured and all areas of the facility are safe from any hazards. All duties listed below are minimum requirements – additional duties listed in the site's Post Orders are requirements as well.Soft Skills:Visioning: Understanding the big picture and requirements necessary to deliver services that reflect company values, goals, and purpose. Can you perform your duties to meet expectations and company benchmarks?Team Development: Communicate with managers from all levels, clients, and team members effectively and in a timely manner; receiving and relaying feedback and executing follow-up as needed. Can you work cohesively with a team, delivering on key objectives?Project Management: Complete understanding and execution of daily tasks and efficiently delivering services that meet the needs of the business. Can you complete your daily assigned tasks and communicate the maintenance needs of company assets?Responsibilities:Report all observed security and safety-related incidents to facility managementAssist facility management in providing a safe and secure environment for customers and associatesAssist facility management in conducting criminal trespassesDetect and report suspected criminal activity to facility managementAssist facility management in retaining physical evidence and internal documents for prosecutionObserve and report unusual customer and associate behavior to facility managementObserve and report potentially hazardous conditions to facility management immediatelyWrite detailed, accurate, and timely reports during each shift that serves Walmart's needs and concernsAssist facility management in the protection, preservation, and retention of evidence and documentationIf trained and certified/qualified, provide first aid to an injured customer or Walmart associateGive any found merchandise or money to facility managementInteracting with internal and external personnel on-site and promptly reporting any client-related information to the local market facility manager or asset protection managerResponsible for the care of any Signal equipment assigned during shift including radios, access keys/cards, devices, etc.Conduct daily activities while meeting key benchmarks and expectations set by the Walmart leadership team such as reporting standards and service quality.Requirements:18 years of age or olderHigh school diploma or GEDSworn, uniformed law enforcement officerPass background check and drug testMust have reliable transportationComplete training modules within the first monthExcellent organization, oral, and written communication skillsDemonstrate a commitment to service, organization values, and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor at all timesMust be able to move equipment weighing up to 20 poundsSignal is an equal opportunity employer.
