Lawn Care Technician – Pesticide ApplicatorWeed Man is North America's fastest-growing lawn care franchise. Our family-owned and operated franchise in Spencer, MA is hiring a Lawn Care Technician – Pesticide Applicator.This is an outdoor, route-based position with opportunities to build customer relationships, develop expertise, and grow your earnings through production and add-on service sales. No previous lawn care or pesticide application experience is required.We Offer:Starting pay rate $22/hr (Techs on full production have avg. earnings of approx. $25/hr)8% commission on add-on service salesMedical, dental, life, and disability insuranceSimple IRA, paid time off, referral bonuses, and company outingsSchedule starting at 7am daily Mon-FriOccasional Saturdays and additional hours during peak seasonOpportunity for year round employment through door-to-door lead generation or holiday décor team during off-seasonRequirements for Lawn Care Technician:At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GEDValid Massachusetts driver's license with 3+ years of driving historyClean driving recordAbility to walk large properties (up to 200,000 sq. ft.) and lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to obtain a Massachusetts pesticide licenseExperience with face-to-face customer serviceStrong communication and time management skillsSelf-motivated, accountable, and able to work independentlyComfortable working outdoors in varying weatherSuccessful completion of a background checkResponsibilities for Lawn Care Technician:Manage and service a daily route of customersApply lawn and pest control/pesticide treatmentsExplain treatments and provide recommendationsBuild strong customer relationships through professional serviceMeet service, production and sales goalsMaintain equipment, vehicle, and a professional appearanceComplete service documentation accuratelySupport team members as needed
