Layout Technician - 2nd ShiftEaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Layout Technician - 2nd Shift at our Troy, IL facility! The core hours are Monday - Friday, 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times.The hourly rate for this position is $25.44 per hour, plus a $0.50 cent shift differential. Employees follow a wage progression schedule and will reach $27.40 after 12 months of employment.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. In the functions, you will:Work with flat sheet metal (steel and aluminum)Run various machine operations (brake press, hammer flanger, buffalo roller, hand scribing & hand sheering)Safety & Quality Training necessary, but not limited to:Types of Mechanical Power PressesSafeguarding RequirementsTrip DevicesPress InspectionsDie SettingBasic Operating ControlsFirst Piece Quality InspectionIn-process Quality InspectionLinknet trainingQualifications:Basic Qualifications:Minimum of one (1) year of machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment.Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. (Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.)Preferred Qualifications:Prior experience reading blueprintsPrior experience with calibration equipment such as calipers.Proficient with computer application systems, such as SAP.Position Success Criteria:Proven analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment. Ability to be self-driven. Must be able to move, position, and/or lift parts or boxes weighing 10lbs-50lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
