(Only QUALIFIED Healthcare Professionals accepted) Addictions Counselor - Signing Bonus! LCDC-Out Patient Clinic-1 hour South of San Antonio, Texas We are seeking a LCDC | Counselor to work with the underserved population 1 hour South of San Antonio. The LCDC would work as part of a interdisciplinary team assisting the addicted population in the recovery process. Excellent compensation including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and student loan repayment eligibility. Essential Duties And Responsibilities o Work is performed under the direct supervision of the program director with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. o The objective of this program is to provide substance use treatment and education to adults residing South of San Antonio working in multiple clinic sites. o The program will emphasize alcohol, and drug use prevention, education, and counseling, as well as behavior modification to maintain sobriety allowing the participant to be successful in their own individualized recovery process. o All services will be culturally and linguistically appropriate to meet the individual's preferences and needs. o Conduct a comprehensive screening, assessment and diagnostics using DSM V criteria. o Work with individuals to develop and implement an individualized, written treatment plan. o Conduct chemical dependency counseling sessions and therapeutic processing groups. o Complete transition and discharge summary. o Perform case management as appropriate to ensure individual receives all necessary and required services. o Contribute to individual's care by participating in clinical staff meetings to review individual's progress and treatment plan. o Ensure documentation in the clinical record complies with documentation standards. o Maintain strict confidentiality and HIPPA guidelines on all individual's and foundation matters. o Refer questionable issues to program director. Perform additional duties as assigned. Required Qualifications To Be Successful In The Job o High school diploma or GED o Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) required o A minimum of two (2) years' experience working in a substance use treatment setting o Must have a valid Texas driver's license and be insurable under agency vehicle policy o Graduate work in a related field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of experience o Must have a valid Texas driver's license and be insurable under agency vehicle policy o Must be 18 years of age or older Preferred Qualifications To Be Successful In The Job o Prefer a minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in social, behavioral, criminal justice, or human services field with LCDC o Bilingual (English| Spanish) o Prior experience working for community behavioral health programs Benefits: o Competitive Compensation o Full benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision and Retirement o Loan Repayment Eligibility' o Signing Bonus Kurt Schussler Vice President and Managing Partner Medical Advantage Recruiters 15455 Dallas Parkway, Suite #600 Addison, TX 75001 Phone: Direct: Fax: e-mail:
