Job description
Quality InspectorCoordinates and leads the activities for designated work area. Performs a variety of quality control tests on products at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with quality and reliability standards.Perform inspections of finished or in-process goods to ensure work instructions are metEnsure products and services meet required specificationsUse required gaging instrumentsComplete gage calibration when neededComplete first piece inspection if needed (i.e., checks that items produced pass quality control requirements)Record statistical data and inputs data entryAnalyze data and write summaries to validate or show deviations from existing standardsRecommend modifications to existing, or suggests new, standards, methods and proceduresProvide leadership, coaching and/or mentoring to subordinate groupMay provide employee discipline and review performanceImplement process improvement initiatives as neededEnsure that department output meets organizational expectationComplete all necessary documents fully and accuratelyAdhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and proceduresPerform other duties as assignedPerform work under minimal supervisionHandle complex issues and problems and refer only the most complex issues to higher-level staffPossess comprehensive working knowledge of subject matter2 to 4 years of experienceProvide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate groupAbility to interpret work instructionsAbility to follow written and verbal directionsIntermediate verbal and written communication skillsProblem-solving skillsAnalytical thinking skillsLeadership skillsAdvanced use of required gaging instruments and the application of such instrumentsPay Range: $25 - $32 hourlyEOE-Minority/Female/Disability/Veteran
