What You'll Own
As a Lead Carpenter / Cabinet Installer, you'll take the lead on quality, execution, and craftsmanship in the field.
You will:
* Lead the installation of cabinetry, countertops, trim, and finish carpentry
* Ensure installations meet Norfolk's standards for fit, finish, accuracy, and presentation
* Read and execute from plans, layouts, elevations, and measurements
* Identify and resolve complex installation and field conditions
* Complete detailed finish work where precision matters
* Guide, support, and mentor less-experienced carpenters
* Partner with Project Managers and Designers to keep projects moving
* Perform quality checks and help ensure punch-list items are completed properly
* Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite
* Represent Norfolk professionally while working in customers' homes and other high-visibility environments
Requirements:
We're looking for someone who has already built a strong foundation in the trade and is ready to take ownership.
* 10+ years of carpentry, cabinet installation, or finish carpentry experience
* Strong experience with custom cabinetry and detailed finish work
* Demonstrated ability to lead, train, or mentor other carpenters
* Confidence reading plans, layouts, elevations, and measurements
* Strong troubleshooting and field problem-solving skills
* Close attention to detail and pride in workmanship
* Ability to work independently while collaborating with a larger project team
* Professional, customer-focused communication
* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
* Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including lifting 50+ lbs.
* OSHA 10 Certification is a plus
* Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply
