Overview

As a member of the Corporate Strategy team, you will support the shaping of UKG's future direction by partnering with senior leaders and cross-functional teams on high-priority strategic initiatives. This role is intended for analytically strong individual contributors with early-career strategy or finance experience who can lead structured conversations, develop rigorous financial analyses, and engage credibly with VP-level stakeholders.

The Strategy Lead role emphasizes analytical ownership, financial modeling, and structured problem solving, with responsibility for leading discussions, pressure-testing assumptions, and driving clarity on complex business issues under the guidance of more senior team members.

Role and Responsibilities

Support corporate strategy initiatives across topics including growth strategy, portfolio prioritization, investment decisions, and value creation

Develop high-quality executive-level presentation materials with a strong emphasis on strategic framing, financial insight, and decision relevance

Lead rigorous quantitative analysis, including financial modeling, scenario analysis, and business case development to support strategic decisions

Conduct market, competitive, and customer analysis and translate findings into clear strategic implications

Structure complex problems and develop fact-based perspectives to inform executive discussions

Lead workstream-level discussions with cross-functional partners and VP-level stakeholders to clarify objectives, test assumptions, and align on implications

Own discrete analytical workstreams end-to-end, including defining the analytical approach, managing timelines, and ensuring output quality

Walk stakeholders through analysis, tradeoffs, and implications in a clear and confident manner

Qualifications

Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking, or a similar role

Strong financial and analytical skills, including experience building and interpreting financial models to support strategic decisions

Demonstrated ability to structure ambiguous problems and translate analysis into clear insights

Experience developing executive-level materials and communicating complex analyses clearly and concisely

Comfort leading discussions with VP-level stakeholders in a structured, fact-based manner

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outputs under tight timelines

Preferred Experience

Prior experience at a strategy consulting firm, investment bank, or in a corporate strategy, finance, or business operations role

Meaningful exposure to financial modeling, valuation, or investment analysis

Experience supporting enterprise-scale or multi-business organizations

Exposure to software, SaaS, or technology-enabled business models

Personal Qualifications

Highly analytical and detail-oriented, with a strong bias toward fact-based decision making

Structured and logical thinker who can clearly articulate tradeoffs and implications

Confident, credible communicator able to lead conversations with senior stakeholders

Practical and grounded, focused on clarity and substance over polish

Collaborative working style with the ability to operate independently and take ownership of assigned work
