Founded in 2015, the company serves a collection of seven world-class owned venues and a client roster of the most iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions, spanning four continents.Position SummaryThe part-time Lead Custodian is responsible for ensuring PeoplesBank Arena meets or exceeds standards of cleanliness to the utmost in guest satisfaction before, during, and after all events. Lead Custodians must aid in the oversight of all custodial work.This role pays an hourly rate of $17.12 - $18.61 (per CBA)Benefits as per the union agreement.This position will remain open until December 4, 2026About the VenuePeoplesBank Arena is Connecticut's premier destination for sports & entertainment. The 15,000-seat downtown arena is home to the eleventh-time National Champion UConn Women's Basketball team and the six-time National Champion UConn Men's Basketball team. Led by Hall of Fame basketball Head Coach Geno Auriemma and Dan Hurley, the Men's & Women's basketball programs have established themselves as national powerhouses. PeoplesBank Arena is also home to the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack, the primary developmental affiliate of the New York Rangers.PeoplesBank Arena entertains millions of visitors annually with a variety of concerts, family shows, ice-skating spectaculars, consumer events, and trade shows throughout the season. The venue has played host to an extraordinary roster of world-renowned artists, including Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Pearl Jam, Black Eyed Peas, Britney Spears, Drake, and many others. PeoplesBank Arena will continue to be the center of sports and entertainment for Hartford and the State of Connecticut for years to come.ResponsibilitiesAssists with the training, coaching, and leading custodial staff.Follow detailed instructions relating to cleaning products & Safety Data Sheets.Performs light and heavy cleaning tasks, including, but not limited to, cleaning bathrooms and locker rooms, sweeping, mopping, disposing of garbage, etc.Restocks restrooms with supplies.Works safely, quickly, and efficiently to meet all deadlines.Maintains a positive, outgoing demeanor and acknowledges guests in a friendly manner.All other tasks assigned by Supervisor.Qualifications2 years of cleaning or event-related experience required.Prior lead or supervisory responsibilities preferred.Basic understanding of how to use cleaning equipment.Ability to operate scrubbers, buffers, carpet extractors, etc.Basic understanding of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) & Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Basic proficiency with computers and Microsoft systems.Must arrive for each scheduled shift on time, in uniform, and ready to work.Ability to work morning, afternoon, and/or overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.Ability to lift and carry heavy objects as needed.Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time, to kneel, stoop, climb stairs, and reach above head, as well as perform repetitive motions in connection with cleaning tasks.Strengthened by our Differences.
