Lead Custodians must aid in the oversight of all custodial work.This role will pay $17.58-$18.50/hourBenefits for PT roles: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching.Evergreen role: Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis; there is no application deadline.About the VenueThe XL Center is Connecticut's premier destination for sports & entertainment. The venue has played host to an extraordinary roster of world-renowned artists, including Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Pearl Jam, Black Eyed Peas, Britney Spears, Drake, and many others.The XL Center will continue to be the center of sports and entertainment for Hartford and the State of Connecticut for years to come.ResponsibilitiesAssists in the training, coaching, and supervision of custodial staffArrives for each scheduled shift on time, in a clean uniform, and ready to workAbility to work morning, afternoon and/or overnight shifts, including weekends and holidaysAbility to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.Ability to stand on feet for up to 8 hours at a time, to kneel, stoop, climb stairs and reach above head as well as perform repetitive motions in connection with cleaning tasksAbility to follow verbal instructions & read written instructions especially relating to cleaning products & SDSPerform light and heavy cleaning tasks including, but not limited to, cleaning bathrooms, locker rooms, sweeping, mopping, disposing of garbage, etc.Restocks restrooms with suppliesWorks safely, quickly, and efficiently to meet all deadlinesMaintains a positive, outgoing demeanor and acknowledges guests in a friendly mannerPossesses basic computer skillsAll other tasks assigned by SupervisorQualificationsMust be 18 years of age2 years of cleaning or event related experience requiredPrior lead or supervisory responsibilities preferredBasic understanding of how to use cleaning equipmentAbility to operate scrubbers, buffers, carpet extractors, etc.Basic understanding of SDSBasic understanding of PPEStrengthened by Our Differences.
