Plus, enjoy full-time opportunities, paid training, and room to grow your career!Position SummaryThe Direct Support Lead serves as a role model within the residential program by helping coordinate daily routines, supporting student goals, and promoting a positive living environment. This role works closely with supervisors, clinicians, and direct care staff to provide consistent support while encouraging student growth and independence.Essential ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and facilitate daily routines, recreational opportunities, and skill-building activitiesAssist in planning and organizing weekly and monthly programming for assigned studentsSupport students with personal care, hygiene, household responsibilities, and community participationImplement individualized support plans and behavioral strategiesMaintain accurate documentation, including daily notes and progress updatesContribute information for educational and treatment planning meetingsFoster positive relationships with students through coaching, mentorship, and encouragementCommunicate important student information to team members and supervisorsAssist with crisis intervention and safety procedures utilizing approved training methodsParticipate in required meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunitiesHelp maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming residential environmentQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED requiredValid driver's license preferredStrong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary teamAbility to manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environmentCommitment to supporting individuals with developmental, behavioral, and educational needsPreferred ExperienceOne year or more of experience in direct care, human services, education, healthcare, or a related fieldExperience working with children, adolescents, or individuals with special needsFamiliarity with behavioral support practices and crisis management techniquesPhysical RequirementsAbility to actively engage in residential programming and community outingsAbility to safely perform approved physical interventions when necessary to ensure safetyAbility to lift, bend, stand, and move throughout the workdayBenefitsUp to 5 weeks of Paid Time OffHealth insurance with employer-funded HRA contributionsTuition reimbursementProfessional development and career growth opportunitiesChildcare reimbursement403(b) retirement plan with employer match up to 5%Potential temporary housing opportunities based on availabilityAt Latham Centers, every team member plays an important role in helping children and adults with complex special needs achieve greater independence, confidence, and quality of life.
