In-Home Services Lead Direct Support ProfessionalMeridian Services offers person-centered supports and cares to individuals with mental illness, intellectual disabilities, and physical disabilities across a diverse range of settings. These include Residential Services, In-Home Services, and Case Management Services. Today, we have 30 group homes, 150 In-Home person served, and over 100 Case Managers across the state of Minnesota. Our mission is to provide services of the finest quality so that those we serve will be able to achieve their goals!Location: Areas across Central MN (including but not limited to the following cities: Buffalo, Maple Lake, Elk River, Big Lake, Anoka, Andover, Champlin, Maple Grove, Fridley, Blaine, Spring Lake Park, Plymouth)Schedule: Monday-Friday with availability between the hours of 8:00AM and 8:00PM based on the needs of those we serve. Occasional weekend scheduling possible based on the needs of the Program.Wage: $20 per hour including Full Time benefitsJob Summary:As a lead direct support professional, you will be a part of helping people work on outcomes/goals to gain independence and lifelong skills. Our ideal candidate must have experience working with intellectual disabilities, experience with person centered programming and experience with verbal and physical aggression. This position will be responsible for 40 hours of direct care per week. In addition to direct care, this position will also assist in training new staff, coverage during management absence, and help with emergency client situations.Essential Job Duties:Work on tailored outcomes with each person we support. Outcomes may include: budgeting, behavioral management, community exploration, meal planning, organizational skills, coping skills, and/or physical fitness.Be an active participant with individuals served when working on outcomes and out in the community.Assist with personal cares as needed per person servedProvide guidance and instructional teaching to persons while building life skills.Provide cleaning, cooking to the people living at the homeProvide supervision and transportation in the community on activities using personal vehicle.Be willing to go into persons homes, in the community or the other places as the need arises.Required Qualifications:21 years of age or olderProficient in spoken and written English languageComfortable providing personal cares (including but not limited to: bathroom supports, bathing/showering, medication administration)Successful clearance of Department of Human Services background checkSuccessful clearance of Motor Vehicle Background Check and acceptable driving record per Company PolicyPreferred Experience:At least 1 year supporting individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities, and/or mental health diagnosisAt least 1 year working with individuals with verbal and physical aggressionsExperience implementing Emergency Use of Manuel Restraints (applicable at select programs)Meridian Services Company Benefits and Perks Include:Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance offeredPaid Time OffPaid Training401K plan with employer matching after 1 yearCompany-Provided Life and Short Team Disability InsuranceSupplemental Insurance and Pet Insurance offeredGrowth and Management Opportunities!Employee of the month recognition and gift cardMeridian Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
