This role requires a hands‑on technical leader who ensures field teams meet DI’s standards for craftsmanship, efficiency, and safety.

Location: Northern Virginia Washington, D.C. Tech Corridor (Onsite Field Position)

Responsibilities

System Installation & Commissioning: Execute and oversee the physical installation of all AV infrastructure, including cabling, rack building, equipment mounting, and trim‑out, ensuring readiness for engineering test and tune and final system commissioning.

Qualifications

Proven Leadership: Demonstrated proficiency in supervisory skills, with the ability to effectively lead, motivate, and manage a field installation team.

Technical & Mechanical Aptitude: Strong working knowledge of mechanical principles and carpentry techniques as applied to professional Audio‑Visual or Low Voltage systems installation.

Equipment Operations: Experience operating and managing heavy equipment (e.g., lifts, scaffolding) safely and efficiently on construction sites.

Security Clearance Eligibility: Must possess or be able to successfully obtain a security clearance, as required by our high‑security project portfolio (e.g., Government, Defense).

Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with internal teams, external clients, and site management.

Safety & Compliance: Strict adherence to project timelines and all relevant industry safety standards and regulations.

Education: High school diploma or GED required.

Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, CTS) or prior experience in the technology integration, low‑voltage, or commercial construction industries is preferred.

Additional technical training in electronics, networking, or audiovisual systems a plus.
