Lead Network Engineer (PR/ ) Chicago, Illinois
Salary: USD - USD per annum
I am currently partnered with a well-established Financial Services firm hiring for a Lead Network Engineer that plays a crucial role where you will lead network design, deployment, and maintenance while providing top-tier support and operational expertise.
Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, support and maintain mixed vendor network infrastructure.
Provide technical leadership and consultation across various network domains.
Act as an informal trainer and mentor to junior analysts and engineers.
Lead incident investigations and prioritize service restoration.
Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation as required.
Required Skills:
Cisco, Juniper, Arista Knowledge: Advanced skills in handling equipment from these vendors along with configuration management.
Multicast Expertise: Strong experience with Multicast in switched and routed networks is essential.
Routing Protocols Proficiency: Deep knowledge of BGP, RIP, OSPF, etc.
MPLS & Traffic Engineering: Extensive experience in managing MPLS configurations and optimizing network traffic.
