Job description
Extrusion Line OperatorTo perform tasks necessary to efficiently control the operation of extrusion line from raw material input to finished product.Must be able to work C Shift: Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Every Other Sunday, 6:45 AM to 7:00 PM. $1 per hour shift incentive applies to C shift.Job Duties:Maintains a clean and orderly work area/warehouseMaintains a safe working environment by following all company safety policies and procedures and reports unsafe conditions and incidentsMaintains company's quality standardsResponsible for training employeesComputes amounts of stock and supplies required for operations, based on production schedules, and requisitions materials from storage areaSupports plans flow of materials through department and develops physical layout of machines according to work ordersCommunicates with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are metDirects/instructs workers in adjusting machines and equipment to repair products which fail to meet standardsEstablishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedulesMaintains time and production recordsOther duties as assignedJob Qualifications:High school diploma or general education degree (GED), one to three years of experience preferredAbility to work at a fast paceAbility to multi task and read production ticketsAbility to perform math calculations including fractionsMust be able to read tape measure, including micrometerMust be computer literateAbility to maintain production standardsMust be dedicated to continuous improvementMust be able to lift 50 pounds, bend, stretch, or stand for extended periods of timeTranscendia is an equal opportunity employer and will consider all candidates for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
