In this role, you will serve as the front-line production lead, supporting daily packaging operations while ensuring compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), safety requirements, and quality standards.As a Lead Packaging Technician, you will:Serve as the primary point of contact on the production floor for packaging process questions and technical guidanceCoordinate daily workflow activities to support production schedules and department prioritiesAssist with onboarding and training Packaging Technicians using established training methods and proceduresSet up, operate, troubleshoot, and perform changeovers on packaging equipment including cartoning, assembler, and sealing linesReview batch records and production documentation for accuracy and compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP)Identify, investigate, and escalate quality, equipment, or process issues as appropriateSupport nonconformance investigations, documentation, and corrective action activitiesComplete production transactions, material returns, and inventory-related activities using ERP systemAssist with the creation and revision of work instructions, procedures, and manufacturing documentationCommunicate production status, shift updates, and operational concerns with cross-functional teamsMaintain compliance with safety, quality, and GMP requirements while supporting continuous improvement initiativesTo qualify as a Lead Packaging Technician, you'll need the following:High school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 2 years of experience in a medical device, pharmaceutical or similarly regulated industryMinimum of 2 years of general packaging process experienceExperience with GMP documentation practicesExperience using ERP systems for production transactions, inventory management, and material requestsStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsAbility to follow detailed written procedures and work instructionsStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to train and mentor packaging personnelPrevious experience serving as a team lead, trainer, process owner, or informal leader a strong plusSchedule: Monday - Thursday, 3:15 PM - 1:45 AMStarting rate: $31.00-$35.00/hour + $1.25/hour shift premium with consideration for relevant skills and experienceLifecore offers a highly competitive total rewards package, including:Opportunities to learn and grow with a well-respected companyCompetitive compensation with annual reviewsBenefits that start the first of the month after you join Lifecore as a full time employee: 3 medical insurance plans to fit your needs and budget including an HSA Plan with a generous company contribution.Low cost dental and vision insuranceShort term disability, long term disability and life insurance all 100% company paid3 weeks PTO in the first year (increases to 4 weeks after just 2 years!)9 paid company holidays plus 2 personal holidaysPaid family leaveTuition reimbursement401k plan with company matching contributionQuarterly bonus based on department and individual performanceMeet Lifecore Biomedical, LLC:Lifecore Biomedical, Inc.
