Job description
Lead PlumberThe Lead Plumber is responsible for overseeing plumbing projects from start to finish, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all applicable codes and regulations. This role involves hands-on plumbing work, supervising junior plumbers, coordinating with contractors or clients, and maintaining high-quality workmanship.Key Responsibilities:Lead and supervise plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance on residential, commercial, or industrial projectsAssign tasks and provide guidance to plumbers and apprenticesRead and interpret blueprints, specifications, and building codesEnsure all plumbing work meets local, state, and federal regulationsDiagnose complex plumbing issues and implement effective solutionsCoordinate with project managers, inspectors, and other trades on-siteMaintain project timelines and ensure materials and tools are availableEnforce safety procedures and promote a safe work environmentTrain and mentor team members to improve skills and performanceComplete required documentation, reports, and job updatesQualifications & Requirements:Valid plumbing license (Journeyman or Master, as required by jurisdiction)5+ years of plumbing experience, including leadership or supervisory experienceStrong knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and toolsAbility to read blueprints and technical drawingsExcellent problem-solving and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlinesValid driver's license and reliable transportationStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to stand, kneel, bend, and work in confined spacesAbility to work in various weather conditions (if applicable)Competitive pay based on experienceBenefits package may include health insurance, paid time off, and retirement options
