A Lead Production Worker helps ensure workers, equipment, and materials are used efficiently while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards. In the absence of the Production Supervisor, the Lead Production Worker takes full responsibility for managing the production and donation department.Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:Oversee daily production, distribution, and storage activitiesMake sure materials, equipment, and staff are used efficientlySet production priorities and schedulesAdjust schedules when equipment or other issues ariseWork with the Production Supervisor to maintain product qualityCheck machines and equipment to ensure they work properlyMonitor employees to ensure work standards are followedCollect and organize basic production dataRequest needed tools, equipment, and suppliesCommunicate with management about maintenance issues and improvementsHelp share and enforce safety rules and standardsWork safely and use required protective equipmentFollow all company policies and safety guidelinesThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
