Lead Quality Technician – 1st ShiftJoin Our Quality Team!We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician to support our Quality Department and help ensure our products meet regulatory, certification, and customer quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an interest in quality control, food safety, manufacturing, and compliance who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced production environment.What You'll DoAs a Quality Technician, you'll play a critical role in maintaining product integrity and compliance. Your responsibilities will include:Provide back-up support for the Quality Systems Manager;Participate in internal and external audits; ensure the facility is always "audit ready"Prepare and maintain document control; conduct various inspections and complete PCQI sign-off;Perform various calibration verification activities; as neededManage various sections of the FSMS system;Perform Quality Control functions; assess incoming materials;Provide Finished Product Quality Approval;Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with company standards and procedures; as well as all certifications and statutory/regulatory guidelinesFollow all applicable instructions related to food and feed safety including Hygiene and Employee GMP's, the FDA, and 3rd party certifications including FSSC 22000 and FAMI-QS;Perform light housekeeping duties; as needed.Any other tasks that may be assignedWhat We're Looking ForThe ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently.Key Competencies:Mathematical and scientific reasoning skillsStrong organizational and documentation skillsAnalytical thinking and problem-solving abilitiesEffective time management in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentProcess improvements; initiativeAbility to work with minimal supervisionRequired QualificationsBachelor's or Associate's degree in quality or a science related field; preferredA minimum of 2-4 years' experience working in a quality role, preferably in food or feed manufacturingFSSC 22000 or FAMI QS experience is preferredPCQI Certification – must have ability to obtain within 6 months of hire if do not possessComputer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferredWorking knowledge of what HACCP is and how to apply it is preferred.Work Environment & Physical RequirementsManufacturing and production environmentExposure to non-hazardous powders or chemicalsVariable or unregulated temperaturesFrequent standing; some tasks may be performed seatedRegular use of hands, arms, and fingersOccasional lifting of up to 50 poundsAbility to bend, crouch, and move as needed
