Lead Registered Dental AssistantReports to: Practice Manager, Regional Manager Key Partnerships: Operations, Clinical, Support Center Department: Operations Salary: $20/hr + (based on experience) Classification: Non-Except Status: Full-TimeAbout this role: The Lead Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) is responsible for supporting the Dentist during treatments, exams, and treatment discussions with patients. This position will oversee back-office functions, flow, and efficiency. Lead RDAs are required to mentor, train and guide new and existing team members, as well as grow and challenge themselves.Job Responsibilities:Greet and prepare patients for exams, complete digital charting, and verify codes with precision.Capture quality x-ray imagesAssist dentists with a variety of treatment proceduresAble to assist with RCTs, Cording Packing, Crown Seat, Denture adjustments, and other complex treatments.Familiar with sedation treatments, including treatment information, post-care, and monitoring. (Additional training provided)Delegate and support setting up and sterilizing exam and treatment roomsDiscussing treatment options, importance, and follow up recommended careProviding teeth polishing and sealant placement procedure (with required certifications)Teaching team members how to schedule appointments, treat and care for patients.Delegating sterilization of instruments and following cross-contamination standardsWillingness to jump in and support team members as neededCreating positive and uplifting patient environments by patient engagement before, during, and after visitsDiscussing areas of improvement with the dentist and office managerManaging patient flow and improving the overall process to streamline patient visitsMonitoring staff and dentist time management to maximize patient careGuiding parents and patients through post-care instructionsAssisting patients with company-provided prizes and dismissalUnderstanding and adhering to HIPAA guidelinesAbility to train and monitor new team members and externsComplete inventory order and act in accordance with office budgetOther duties as assignedBasic Qualifications:Texas Issued Registered Dental Assistant Licensing4-5+ years of Dental Assisting experienceSealant Placement, Nitrous Monitoring, and Coronal Polishing Certifications preferred (if 2+ years of experience, the company provides courses)RCT, Cord Packing, Denture Adjustments, and Crown Seat experienceExperience with training team members and monitoring progressExperience with conducting challenging conversationsProficient in Digital x-rays and Digital chartingKey Skills and Abilities, Characteristics of a good fit:Strong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work with minimal supervision, self-starter, and demonstrates initiativeFlexible and innovative; highly adaptable to a dynamic business environmentHigh engagement; supportive of leadership and role model for company values and guiding behaviorsStrong demonstration of task completion and dedication to detailTeam Player and great interpersonal skillsPrompt and timely with work scheduleAmazing customer service skills, great at building relationships with new peopleOpen to cross-training opportunities and learning new job skillsInspiring leadership skills and mentoring abilitiesExcited for new challenges and growth opportunitiesBenefits:401(k)Health (PPO/HSA), Vision, Dental,Disability insurance (STD/LTD)Accident InsuranceLife InsuranceEmployee, Spouse, and Child Life Insurance OptionsPaid Time OffHoliday PayHep B and CPR CertificationsCompany provided scrubsCareer Growth OpportunitiesCompany provided online learning coursesCompetitive CompensationPaid trainingEmployee fun daysHoliday celebrationsEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Perks @ Work, Employee Discount ProgramSchedule and Location: Mon-Thu: 8:30 am-5pm | Fri-8-1pm | Sat & Sun: Closed One Location - Henderson Smiles CDP is an Equal Opportunity Employer
