Our client, a leader in advanced technology development, is seeking a Lead Reliability Engineer to join their team. As a Lead Reliability Engineer, you will be part of the Reliability Engineering Department supporting the development of next-generation quantum computing technologies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, innovative thinking, and excellent collaboration abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Lead Reliability Engineer
Pay Range: $150,000 - $185,000/year
What's the Job?
Define and lead reliability strategies for emerging technologies with limited historical data and evolving architectures.
Develop reliability analyses at the system, subsystem, and component levels, incorporating test campaigns and published results.
Collaborate with design, test, and manufacturing teams to ensure reliability is integrated from the earliest concept stages.
Create accelerated stress test plans and develop novel characterization methods for first-of-kind technologies.
Communicate risks, findings, and recommendations clearly to engineering leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
What's Needed?
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, materials science, mechanical engineering, physics, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
Minimum of 8 years of experience in reliability analysis of complex products or systems, especially involving optical and electronic technologies.
Hands‑on experience with reliability test equipment, environmental stress methods, and data analysis.
Proficiency in statistical analysis, reliability prediction tools, and design‑for‑reliability methodologies.
Strong communication skills and ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments with incomplete data.
