Lead Software Developer – Remote Contract Opportunity
Hourly Pay Range - $85-$100 per hour.
Join a dynamic team at an innovative company reshaping healthcare technology. As a Lead Software Developer, you will drive the design and development of scalable, secure cloud-based applications within the healthcare domain, particularly focusing on EHR systems. This role offers a unique chance to lead technical solutions that impact patient care and improve health outcomes, all while working remotely on a contract-to-hire basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Follow the full software development lifecycle to design, build, and optimize cloud-native applications.
Lead architectural and system design efforts, ensuring scalability, security, and resilience.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop technical specifications and ensure high-quality deliverables.
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, containerized applications, and infrastructure as code.
Leverage GenAI tools to accelerate development processes while maintaining strict adherence to best practices.
Top 5 Required Skills:
Cloud architecture design, especially Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP
Epic EHR domain expertise and Epic certification preferred
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM)
CI/CD pipeline development and DevOps practices
Strong software engineering fundamentals and Git proficiency
Top 5 Nice to Have Skills:
Kubernetes and Docker containerization
Data technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, Databricks
Observability and security tools (Grafana, Azure Log Analytics, OpenTelemetry)
Generative AI integration and AI-assisted development experience
Healthcare industry experience, especially in systems integration
Preferred Education & Experience:
Advanced degree or certifications in computer science, software engineering, or related fields
10+ years of professional development experience with leadership responsibilities
Proven success leading complex cloud-native applications in healthcare
Additional Requirements:
Experience designing and deploying health IT solutions with a focus on security and compliance
Ability to work independently and lead multiple teams or resources
Strong communication skills to present technical solutions effectively
