What you will do:
Participate in the development of the simulation Software stack - full stack
Write high quality software, follow best practices and participate in code review
Work collaboratively with your peers, Onboard other peers
Participate in writing software design and requirements discussions
Work tightly with the Robotic team and any other team, aligning their needs with your implementation, reducing gaps and deviations, while focusing on Quality and Value.
Improve and Maintain CI/CD.
Participate actively in brainstorming and ideation sessions

Required
Experience of building simulation and rendering platforms
Experience in 3D object rendering and manipulation
Experience with mapping technology (Like GIS, Terrain mapping, OpenLayers)
Experience in leveraging web graphic / animation standard library
Advanced knowledge of designing, building and using open source, publish data and APIs (like GraphQL)
Experience in designing, publishing and maintaining DB schema (SQL, NoSQL)
Experience with best practices and processes for engineering team
Experience with AI coding tools (like Claude, Copilot, Cursor)
Experience with Cloud Platforms such as AWS (Preferred), Azure, Google Cloud / Firebase
Experience with web automation tooling and deploying on CI/CD (Like WebPack, ESLint, Playwright)
Top Candidate
5+ years of experience hands-on coding backend in coding languages such as Java or Node.js
3+ years of experience hands-on coding frontend in coding languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript
3+ years of experience hands-on coding with Frameworks such as Angular, React/Next.js
Experience with agile methodology
Good knowledge of Python
Experience with Nvidia Omniverse or other Simulation Platforms

This position is located in Irving, Texas.

Summary Pay Range
$128,470.00 - $208,770.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance, and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
