Job description
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer to help drive the modernization of our Enterprise Entitlements platform. This role will provide technical leadership in designing, developing, and delivering scalable, secure, cloud-native solutions that support identity, access, and authorization capabilities across Digital Banking.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and support enterprise-grade applications using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and modern UI frameworks.
Lead implementation of cloud-native solutions leveraging Kubernetes, containers, and microservices architecture.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting automated testing and deployment.
Define and implement API and integration strategies across enterprise platforms.
Partner with architects and security teams to implement authorization and policy-driven access controls.
Contribute to service mesh architectures utilizing technologies such as Istio and Envoy.
Author and maintain policy definitions using Rego/OPA (preferred).
Mentor engineers and promote engineering excellence, resiliency, and operational best practices.
Education and Experience Required
Associate’s degree and a minimum of 7 years’ systems analysis and/or application development work experience
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years' systems analysis and/or application development work experience
In lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 9 year’s education and/or relevant work experience, including a minimum of 5 years’ system analysis and/or application development work experience
Strong Java and Spring Boot expertise
Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices
Angular and/or modern front-end development experience
Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native development experience
CI/CD pipeline implementation experience
Strong understanding of security, authentication, and authorization concepts
Preferred Qualifications
Rego/Open Policy Agent (OPA) experience
Digital Banking or Financial Services experience
Experience with Service Mesh technologies (Istio, Envoy)
Identity and Access Management (IAM) background

Compensation
The pay range for this position is $116,400.00 - $194,000.00 Annual (USD).
