Job description
Wellstar is seeking a Lead Sonographer to provide expert diagnostic ultrasound services across our integrated health system. In this role, you will perform and oversee high-quality imaging exams, ensuring accurate acquisition and optimization of images for physician interpretation. You will mentor sonographers, support training, and help coordinate workflow to maintain timely, compassionate, patient-centered care. The Lead Sonographer partners closely with radiologists and clinical teams, promotes safety and regulatory compliance, supports quality initiatives, and helps advance best practices in ultrasound within a collaborative, learning-focused environment.
