Job description
Wellstar is seeking a Lead Sonographer to provide advanced diagnostic ultrasound services within our patient-centered, collaborative care teams. In this role, you will perform and oversee high-quality imaging exams, ensuring accurate protocols, optimal image quality, and exceptional patient experience. You will coordinate workflow, mentor and precept staff, and support continuous learning across the sonography team. The Lead Sonographer partners closely with radiologists, physicians, and nurses to support timely diagnoses and treatment plans. Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, ensuring regulatory and safety compliance, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
