Job description
Wellstar is seeking a Lead Sonographer to provide expert diagnostic ultrasound services while guiding a collaborative, patient-focused team. In this role, you will perform and oversee a full range of ultrasound exams, ensuring image quality, patient safety, and adherence to established protocols. You will mentor sonographers and students, support orientation and skills development, and collaborate closely with radiologists and multidisciplinary teams. The Lead Sonographer helps drive quality improvement, maintains equipment readiness, and upholds compassionate, inclusive, patient-centered care across Wellstar facilities.
