Job description
Wellstar Health System seeks a Lead Sonographer to guide high-quality diagnostic ultrasound services in a collaborative, patient-focused environment. The Lead Sonographer performs complex exams, ensures image quality, and supports accurate clinical decisions across inpatient and outpatient settings. This role leads daily workflow, mentors sonographers, supports orientation and competencies, and partners with radiologists and nurses to improve outcomes. The position also helps optimize protocols, maintain equipment, ensure regulatory compliance, and model compassionate, inclusive care for patients and families.
