Lead Technical Consultant - Digital Client Implementations
Responsible for leading and guiding the work of technical staff. Participates in an agile work team. Breaks down features into user stories and serves as the liaison between business and technical groups. Plans, sizes, assesses impacts, monitors progress, and reports on work initiatives. Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.
Responsibilities
Develops and maintains well-developed user stories from prioritized features. Ensures that each user story is aligned with product vision, has adequate acceptance criteria, and meets the definition of ready.
Makes decisions regarding functionality and priority of work efforts. Provides product and technical consultation to working teams in order to drive results. Signs off to accept each user story.
Solves problems critical to the success of project initiatives. Partners with teams to identify and remove roadblocks.
Participates in planning events, team demos, system demos, retrospectives, inspect and adapt workshops, and other ceremonies.
Develops and maintains project plans to drive results on new project initiatives. Ensures tasks, deliverables, and schedule commitments are met.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or military experience.
At least 2 years of experience working with REST APIs and JSON formats.
At least 2 years of experience utilizing API testing tools like Postman or Hoppscotch to construct HTTP requests, inspect headers, and debug endpoint payloads.
Preferred Qualifications
At least 4 years experience with REST APIs, JSON and expertise using API testing tools like Postman to construct HTTP requests, inspect headers, and debug endpoint payloads.
Familiarity with API protocols, including API keys, TLS/SSL, and JWT (JSON Web Tokens).
Ability to translate technical specifications for non-technical stakeholders and lead network participants through onboarding, certification testing, and go-live.
Skill in analyzing log files, network traces and error codes to resolve client testing issues.
2+ years in the Payments industry.
Client-facing technical support & documentation skills

Riverwoods, IL: $109,900 - $125,400 for Lead Technical Consultant
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
