This is a hands-on engineering role with strategic UX accountability. Combines deep front-end engineering expertise in React, TypeScript, component architecture, and shared UI libraries with strong design-system governance and UX practice. They will define a scalable vision for the firm's UI platform, translate that vision into production-ready standards and enable delivery of accessible, consistent, high-quality experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and evolve reusable, production-quality React and TypeScript components, patterns, and libraries for internal applications.

• Establish standards for component APIs, ShadCN, Tailwind, design tokens, theming, interaction states, testing, versioning, and release management.

• Work closely with product, design, engineering, and platform teams to drive UI consistency, component reuse, and strong implementation quality.

• Review high-impact workflows and shared components for usability, accessibility, performance, and visual consistency.

• Set the roadmap for shared front-end capabilities and provide practical standards, documentation, examples, prototypes, code reviews, and enablement that improve quality without slowing delivery.

• Translate Figma patterns into scalable, accessible, maintainable production components; govern libraries, tokens, variants, component structure, and documentation.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in front-end engineering, UX engineering, design-system engineering, or a related technical field.

• Deep production experience with React, TypeScript, modern JavaScript, component architecture, and reusable front-end libraries.

• Proven experience building, scaling, or leading a design system used across multiple products or engineering teams.

• Experience with ShadCN, Tailwind, or comparable UI primitives and styling systems.

• Experience defining component APIs, composition patterns, testing standards, versioning, and backward-compatible library releases.

• Strong communication, influence, and strategic judgment across engineering, design, product, platform, and senior stakeholders.

• Strong Figma expertise, including libraries, tokens, variants, component properties, documentation, and design-system governance.

• Strong accessibility expertise, including semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, focus management, ARIA, and interaction design.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building data-dense enterprise applications for capital markets, trading, risk, portfolio management, or operations.

• Familiarity with real-time grids, charts, dashboards, blotters, analytics tools, and workflow-heavy user interfaces.

• Experience with AG Grid, Highcharts, or comparable enterprise grid and visualization platforms.

• Experience with monorepos, shared packages, build tooling, testing frameworks, CI/CD, and package publishing.

• Exposure to FDC3, OpenFin, Tauri, WebView2, or related desktop interoperability technologies.

• Experience applying AI-assisted tools to improve UI development, testing, documentation, or design-system delivery.

Primary Areas of Ownership

• Shared React and TypeScript component libraries, including ShadCN-based assets and reusable UI patterns.

• Figma libraries, design tokens, components, variants, and documentation.

• Design-system architecture, standards, governance, adoption, and roadmap.

• Accessibility, theming, interaction patterns, component APIs, and visual consistency.

• Shared front-end tooling, documentation, examples, and developer enablement.

• UI foundations for data-dense investment and analytics applications.
