Job description
Lead WelderCannonball Recruiting is seeking a Lead Welder for a high volume metal fabrication facility located in York, PA. Candidate will be responsible for weld preparation, welding and weld finishing on various gauges of metal according to mechanical drawings, specifications or other forms of instruction.Qualifications:10+ years of experience with Welding and FabricationMIG Welding experience on steel and aluminum is required. TIG experience is a plus.Ability to work off of Mechanical Drawings and SpecificationsLeadership/Supervisory experienceAbility to communicate with the team and Plant ManagerJob Functions:Interpret drawings and specifications, including weld requirement symbologyPerform light and heavy arc and gas welding on items such as frames, racks, metal casings, trucks, skids, low pressure tanks, welding and brazing of dies, etc. using welding machines and acetylene welding equipmentPerform grinding operations using manual and power toolsMaintain welding equipment through regular welding equipment maintenanceKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Ability to understand drawings and specificationsKnowledge and experience working with various welding and finishing equipmentAbility to work with a wide range of gauges of metalWork in cooperation with other welders and team membersBenefits:Health / Dental / Vision / Life InsurancePaid Time OffRetirement Plans with matchingPaid HolidaysEligible after probationary periodAll offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
